The Independent Mayo TD Beverly Flynn told supports in her hometown that she had made a full and final settlement with RTÉ in her failed libel appeal against the broadcaster.
Speaking in Castlebar last night Ms Flynn said that she had reached an agreement with the station last Thursday.
Ms Flynn owes the station almost €3 million in legal costs following the action.
RTÉ refused to comment publicly saying the case was scheduled to return to court.
