LONDON Part of a £55,000 cache of antiques stolen from the Duke and Duchess of Kent have been recovered by police after the treasures were offered to antique dealers.

Some of the heirlooms had been passed on to the auction house Sotheby's and others were spotted by dealers in Brighton. They recognised them from pictures and an inventory released by the Kents after a raid on their Oxfordshire mansion last Monday when the duchess was in London and her husband was skiing in France.
