An Irish woman has been arrested by Romanian border police as she tried to leave the country with small quantities of drugs in her handbag.
Ms Samantha Blanford Hutton (30) was detained on Tuesday night as she was due to fly to London from Bucharest. A police officer said she was carrying two grams (0.07oz) of cocaine in a plastic bag, one gram (0.035oz) of marijuana and one cigarette containing hashish.
Ms Hutton, whose home address was not released, said she bought the drugs for her personal use from a foreigner in Bucharest.
