Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery on the outskirts of Limerick this morning.
According to gardaí, the incident took place at a post office at Caherconlish, east of Limerick city, at about 9am.
According to reports, three robbers, one with a wheel brace and another with a sledgehammer, targeted the post office and escaped with a sum of money.
