A man was killed and his wife injured when their car collided with a jeep near New Ross, Co Wexford, on Sunday night. He was Mr Michael Kehoe (52), of Ballyhack, New Ross. Mrs Kathleen Kehoe was taken to Wexford General Hospital, but her injuries are not serious.
Also on Sunday night, a motorcyclist died after being struck by a car near Cootehill, Co Cavan, shortly before 10 p.m. The man's name will not be released until today.
