River Media today launched a new title in the Cavan area entitled the Cavan Post.
The new paper will be published in tabloid format, with colour pages focusing on local news, sport and lifestyle.
Shane McCabe, the former deputy editor of the Longford Leader, takes the post of editor of the Cavan Post.
The Cavan Postis the tenth publication acquired or launched by River Media in the past two years, placing the company in fifth position in the country in terms of sales, with a circulation of 120,000 a week.
River media's publications include the Sligo Post,the Monaghan Post,the Derry Newsand the Kildare Post.
