Nairobi - The northern white rhinoceros, one of the world's most threatened subspecies, has survived last year's civil war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the World Wide Fund for Nature said in Nairobi yesterday. A survey of a remote north-east area of the country has revealed at least 24 northern white rhinos, WWF's Dr Sheila O'Connor said in a statement.
