BRIGHTON - Pregnant women who are given goods emotional and practical support by their partners are more likely to suffer from post natal depression, according to new, research.

But Ms Sandra Wheatley, a research assistant at the Academic Department of Psychiatry at Leicester General Hospital, told a conference in Brighton that support offered by midwives acted as a buffer against women developing depression.
