A German woman stranded overnight on Slieve Mór in Achill has been rescued.
The Mayo Mountain Rescue Team found her at about 1 p.m. having made contact with the 50-year-ild hill-walker by mobile phone at 4 a.m.
Initial efforts to find the woman, which started at 7 p.m. yesterday, were hampered by thick fog.
