The Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, has instructed the inspector of mental hospitals to investigate and report to him on the death of a young girl in the Dublin area from an eating disorder.
He was responding at question time to Dr Tom Moffatt (FF, Mayo East), who said it was a matter of concern that the girl apparently could not be accommodated by any general or mental hospital in the area.
