The appearane of George Redmond before the planning tribunal was postponed today because of his upcoming appeal against his corruption conviction.

Tribunal chairman Judge Alan Mahon said it would not be appropriate for Redmond to appear today ahead of his court case.

The appeal of the former assistant Dublin city and county manager is due to be heard in the Court of Criminal Appeal on Monday. Redmond is now listed to appear at the tribunal the following day, Tuesday July 6 th.

Redmond is due to be released from prison next month after serving a one-year sentence for corruption.
