The Irish branch of the International Red Cross Society (IRCS) is to send a 15 vehicle convoy with over 300 tonnes of aid to Banja Luka in Bosnia in October.

The aid includes clothes, toys and kindergarten equipment to be distributed among 9,000 children. Bus Eireann drivers will be among the drivers on the convoy.

The IRCS is seeking donations, which may be sent to 16 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, or donors can call the credit card line on (01) 676 5135.
