Rehab Recycling has announced plans to install 100 new "bring banks" for used bottles, cans and clothing this year following the publication of the Dublin waste management report.

Meanwhile, the waste recycling company Kerbside, has announced that it intends to extend its collection services to 20,000 new homes this year.

In 1997, the company collected about 5,000 tonnes of waste from 50,000 households in the Dublin area. It recycles numerous materials including glass, cardboard packaging, plastic bottles and aluminium cans.
