Rebels storm army base, kill 22

Bogota - Marxist guerrillas overran a small military base in southern Colombia yesterday afternoon, killing as many as 22 soldiers and taking others prisoner, authorities said.Meanwhile there was confusion over how many people died in death-squad attacks in north-west Colombia last week, with a human rights group saying at least 40 peasants died, but the government saying the number was undetermined.
