The Royal Dublin Society will donate the proceeds of its Horse Show Ball this year to the Children's Hospital in Temple Street, Dublin.
Mr Liam Connellan, president of the RDS, said yesterday that the money would go to fund projects involving the application of medical science in the area of paediatric care.
The ball, held in association with Kerrygold, takes place on August 9th. Tickets are £75.
