The jury in the trial at the Central Criminal Court of a businessman who denies raping and indecently assaulting his sister almost 30 years ago failed to reach a verdict yesterday. The President of the High Court, Mr Justice Morris, sent the jury to a hotel overnight on the fourth day of the trial and it will resume its deliberations this morning. The accused man has pleaded not guilty to 19 charges of rape and 11 of indecent assault on dates between 1969 and 1973.
