Rape case jury fails to agree

The jury in a Ballymun rape trial failed to agree on verdicts in the Central Criminal Court yesterday. The 28 year old defendant had pleaded not guilty to rape, oral rape, attempted anal rape and aggravated sexual assault on a 35 year old mother of three on Ballymun waste ground early on March 18th, 1995. Mr Justice Morris remanded the defendant on continuing bail and listed the case for December 12th
