Police in Tyrone are investigating a possible racist motive behind an attack on a house in Dungannon last night.

Four masked men armed with iron bars and baseball bats broke into the house in Belvedere Park shortly after midnight and according to police "smashed it up".

A neighbour's car was also set on fire in the attack but there were no reports of any injuries.

The house is currently occupied by four Portuguese nationals who were upstairs in bed at the time of the attack.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the police "were not ruling out a possible racist motive behind the attack".
