An investigation has begun after a student collapsed and died yesterday in a McDonald's restaurant in central Belfast

An investigation has begun after a student collapsed and died yesterday in a McDonald's restaurant in central Belfast. Ciara Maeve McGinley (22) died in what McDonald's said was a "tragic accident". The student, from Lisnefin Park, Strabane, Co Tyrone, had been due to graduate from Queen's University shortly. She was in the Bradbury Place restaurant when she collapsed.

The RUC said that the tragedy was being treated as a "sudden death".
