London - Britain's Queen Mother is to celebrate her 100th birthday today with a special card from her daughter, a carriage ride with her grandson and a wave from the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
"Even at 100, she is quite unstoppable," Prince Charles said of his grandmother, whose popularity has survived the scandals, affairs and divorces that have plagued the House of Windsor.
The President, Ms Mary McAleese, sent a message to the Queen Mother yesterday, wishing her continued health and happiness.
