TOKYO - An earthquake, measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale, shook northern Japan early today, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, the meteorological agency said. The epicentre of the quake was off Hokkaido, northernmost Japan, and near the Kuril islands in the Pacific, the agency said.
