Quake death toll rises to 63

JAKARTA - A powerful earthquake that hit the Indonesian province of Irian Jaya on Saturday and triggered tidal waves killed at least 63 people and destroyed more than 2,000 houses on Biak island, officials said yesterday. The quake - 7.5 on the Richter scale - toppled houses and buildings and cut communication lines on Biak island.
