The Sheen Falls Lodge, in Kenmare, Co Kerry, will be holding the first of its annual food and wine weekends from October 31st to November 2nd, when wines from Faiveley wines, cognacs from Remy Ireland and cigars from J.J. Fox of Grafton Street, Dublin will provide the focus for the weekend. David McGrane of J.J. Fox will discuss cigars on Friday after dinner, when there will be a chance to sample fine cognacs. On Saturday, after a cookery demo by chef Fergus Moore, there will be a clay shooting challenge, and in the afternoon a wine tasting and tutorial with John O'Connell, Alain Bras and Christophe Voisin of Faiveley, before a champagne reception and gala dinner. Sunday will include a tour of the Lodge's wine cellar and a blind tasting. The weekend costs £299 pps, with a supplement of £100 for a suite and £50 for a superior room.
