The Purty Kitchen Group, which employs 60 people and operates one of the best-known pubs in south Co Dublin, has gone into receivership after years of what its owners described yesterday as “difficult trading conditions”.

The group said it would continue trading as normal during the receivership process. Its flagship venue on the Old Dunleary Road on the outskirts of Dún Laoghaire served as both a pub and nightclub before establishing itself as a gastro-pub more than 10 years ago.
