Police are treating a fire at a flat complex in west Belfast as malicious.

The fire service was called to the fire at Navan Green shortly after 3:30am.

The fire spread to a communal hallway, trapping the occupants of two flats before the fire brigade managed to rescue them.

A man and woman were treated for smoke inhalation.
