Police are investigating the discovery of a cannabis factory in Co Derry, they said today.

Police are investigating the discovery of a cannabis factory in Co Derry, they said today.

About 30 cannabis plants and a large quantity of cultivation equipment were found in a search of a flat on the promenade in Portstewart.

"The estimated value of the plants if cultivated is between £6,000 and £10,000," a PSNI spokesman said.

No arrests have been made and police inquiries are continuing in the Crescent area.
