PSNI investigates Tyrone arson attack

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has begun an investigation into a suspected arson attack in Co Tyrone last night.

A furniture and electrical store on Melmount Road in Strabane was badly damaged in the blaze.

Fire officers were alerted at around 8.15pm last night and some 38 fire fighters were needed to help bring it under control.

The PSNI said they were treating the blaze as malicious and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
