PSNI come under attack in Derry

A number of petrol bombs and missiles were thrown at the PSNI after they were called to a security alert in Derry last night.

Secirity forces arrived in the area after pipe bombs were thrown into two parked cars in the Creggan area.

The first incident happened on Circular Road around 8.25pm with the second around 10 minutes later at the nearby Iniscarn Crescent.

A crowd of about 40 people gathered and threw petrol bombs and missiles at police.
