Police in the North were cleared today of inflicting head injuries on a man who fell from a 14-foot wall.
Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan's investigation found no evidence to back allegations that an officer may have pushed Paul Bradley during an operation to disperse 250 party goers attending an illegal rave in Derry.
Mr Bradley (31) suffered a fractured skull and life-threatening brain injuries in April 2003.
Despite complaints from his family about the police behaviour, Mrs O'Loan decided the evidence did not back their claims.
The early morning accident happened at the city's Brooke Park after public order police units responded to complaints about loud music.
Most of the crowd dispersed peacefully, but a small section attacked officers with stones and other missiles, Ombudsman staff found.
Police provided first aid to Mr Bradley and another man before both were taken to hospital, the report said.
