Parents of twins are outraged by the child benefit provisions in the Budget, said Ms Mairead Hilliard, of Parents of Twins Ireland. Parents with two children will get £60 a month from September but parents of triplets will get £198 because child benefit is doubled for them, she said.
Her association has been campaigning for a double payment for twins and she said the issue would be tested in the Court unless it was resolved.
