Irish oil and gas explorer Providence Resources said today that its drilling operations off the coast of Nigeria were "in line with expectations".
In a statement the company said it was "delighted with the results" and that the operation would have a "significant and material impact if developed".
At 1.20pm shares in Providence were up 4.6 per cent on the Dublin market at €0.09.
