An estimated 500 supporters of the Ballynagran/Coolbeg action committee gathered in Wicklow town last night to renew their campaign to have a controversial landfill proposal deleted from the Wicklow Co Development plan.
Plans for the 300-acre landfill dump were first mooted in 1993 and have been opposed by the action group ever since.
