Between 150 and 200 demonstrators walked from Fatima Mansions to Dolphin's Barn and back in a protest organised by the Coalition of Communities Against Drugs (COCAD).

Gardai said that the march, which followed an all day vigil at the flats complex, passed off peacefully.

"We call upon the Government, once again, to ensure that residents of Fatima Mansions and other areas badly affected by the drugs crisis are provided with the protection from criminal elements they are entitled to under the Constitution," a statement issued by COCAD said.
