Met Eireann says weather conditions tonight offer a very good prospect of seeing the Russian space station Mir. Weather permitting the station will be visible when looking south for around a minute shortly before 7 p.m. until Monday.
Mr David Moore of Astronomy Ireland said the space station would be "the brightest starlike object in the sky".
