Blackrock International Land has obtained the approval of the Registrar of Companies in Ireland to change its name to Balmoral International Land plc.

This follows a trademark dispute with a US company over the name.

In a statement this morning the company said the name change followed the passing of resolutions proposed to shareholders at the an Extraordinary General Meeting held last week.

The name change is part of the resolution for the dispute with US-based international asset management and investment management company BlackRock Inc.

The terms of the settlement agreement will remain confidential, but Blackrock International Land has said it would not suffer any financial loss from the direct costs of the change of name.
