A promoter was granted a High Court injunction yesterday restraining the Irish Showmen's Guild from interfering with preparations for a Christmas fun-fair and dog show.

Ms Justice Laffoy granted the interim order to Mr Eamon Mackle, a promoter trading as K9 Carnivals, who with the Irish Kennel Club, has organised a K9 carnival, a fun-fair and dog show, at Cloghran, Fingal, Co Dublin, from December 26th to January 9th.

The injunction, until next Monday, restrains the Irish Showmen's Guild, of Clonlough, Mitchelstown, Co Cork, and four men, Mr Joseph Cullen, Mr Colm Cullen, Mr Joseph McFadden and Mr John Fry, from interfering with the event.
