Independent News & Media said its 21 per cent associate Jagran Prakashan Limited announced a 135.2 per cent rise in second quarter profits to 175.4 million rupees (€3 million).
Sales came in at 1.42 billion rupees, up 25.9 per cent from the previous year. JPL is the publisher of India's largest circulating and the world's largest read newspaper, Dainik Jagran.
