HONG KONG - Protesters set a rubber tyre ablaze and scuffled with police on the doorstep of a luxury hotel in Hong Kong yesterday. The protesters, from the April Fifth action group, named after a 1976 prodemocracy protest in Beijing, tried to breach the barrier into the Grand Hyatt hotel where China held high profile consultations on the British colony's future.
