Two prison officers were treated in hospital yesterday after being assaulted by inmates at St Patrick's Institution in Dublin. The attack happened in the exercise yard at 11.30 a.m. when two inmates set upon the officers with the legs of metal chairs or tables. Other prison staff intervened and neither officer was seriously hurt.
