Princess Diana has given £1,000 to help install a CAT scan machine at Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar, to benefit 600 patients. The princess is a member of the Spencer family which has close ties with Cadstlebar. She was asked by the CAT scan committee to sub-scribe.
The committee is trying to raise £450,000.
