An order regulating the price of British magazines sold in the Republic has been made by the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, Mr Bruton.

The maximum retail price for a magazine, according to the order, shall be "the equivalent in the currency of the State of the sterling price at the time the magazine is put into circulation in the State, increased by 5 per cent and, where appropriate, the applicable rate of value added tax".

The order comes into effect next Wednesday.
