A district court hearing in Monaghan, heard in camera yesterday under Judge Murrough Connellan, ruled that the press also be excluded from the court in a case involving a 37-year-old Northern Ireland man who faces 29 charges of indecent assaults on juveniles. The man's solicitor, Mr Thomas Myles, had produced a copy of the Belfast-based Sunday Life newspaper, which had published a photograph and named the defendant in its Northern issue of January 27th. In two previous hearings, judges had ruled and warned the press about the possible repercussions of anybody identifying the defendant or the plaintiffs.
