TIRANA - President Sali Berisha's Democratic Party consolidated its victory in Albania's general election as results were announced yesterday from a second round of voting. However, opposition deputies, who boycotted Sunday's vote after claiming the first round was riddled with irregularities, continued a hunger strike to press for a repeat of the poll.
