Pregnant woman hurt in NI petrol bomb attack

A Co Tyrone family, including a pregnant woman, were treated in hospital after a petrol bomb attack on their home last night.

A Co Tyrone family, including a pregnant woman, were treated in hospital after a petrol bomb attack on their home last night.

The man, woman and children, aged five and seven, were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after the attack on Avery Street, Newtownstewart, shortly after 11 p.m.

The woman suffered a cut to the head after the petrol bomb was thrown through the livingroom window of the house. The room was badly damaged by fire.

Police said the motive for the attack was unclear.
