A post mortem will be carried out later today on the body of a man found in the hallway of his house with a head wound in Co Galway last night.

The body of the 52-year-old man was found by a family member at 10.30pm in a house near the village of Laurencetown.

The Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Michael Curtis is due to conduct the post mortem.
