VATICAN CITY - Pope John Paul II will leave hospital today, a week after surgery to remove his appendix, the Vatican said yesterday. "He will return to the Vatican where he will spend a period of convalescence and rest according to his doctors' orders," the Vatican said.
It added that the Pope (76) would gradually resume his daily activities.
