A Hoboken trio (Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley and James McNew), Yo La Tengo have lately explored a somewhat more sedate facet of their quite charming lo-fi pop music. Accordingly, they have chosen to visit venues that are seated, that have dimmer switches and access to food. The band has been around for more than 10 years, a cult act waiting to happen.
