SIMON HARRIS, Fine Gael TD for Wicklow, was taken aback by the reaction to his use of the word “chillax” during Tuesday’s Public Accounts meeting.

The Dáil’s youngest deputy – he turns 26 next week – had to explain that “chillax” is a compound word, a combination of “chill” and “relax”.

A veteran Fianna Fáiler from Roscommon approached Simon the following day and asked: “Chillax. It that Latin?”
