A meeting between the Co Louth residents taking a legal action against Sellafield and the Minister of State for Public Enterprise, Mr Joe Jacob, was cancelled because of disagreement over the means of recording the meeting.

Mr Eamon Gilmore (DL Dun Laoghaire) said the Minister had refused to meet the residents because of their insistence on having a verbatim account of the meeting. Mr Jacob said he had written a detailed letter about an enhanced offer to the residents.
