A Co Armagh man who was jailed in the US for buying detonators in Tucson, Arizona, was brought back to Ireland yesterday to serve the rest of his 16 month sentence in Portlaoise Prison.

Michael Martin (38) was the first beneficiary of a landmark decision by the US Justice Department after the IRA ceasefire, to allow Irish prisoners there to apply to serve their sentences in Ireland.
